Music requirement: The Ofcom licence agreement requires SIBC to broadcast
music that is mainly contemporary and pop and does not concentrate on any
specific genre. Actual music format description: Contemporary rock and pop music. Format specifics: Over three-quarters of the music played is pre-release or current, with the balance recent recurrent.
Rotation:
Of the pre-release and current
songs, the 20 A-list songs receive 35 plays per week and the 36
B-list songs receive 20 plays per week. |
The D-list and E-list are increasingly lower rotations of recurrent songs.
